Spoken language interpreting
Assurance of spoken-language interpreting delivered in person and remotely, across a wide range of languages and dialects.
The Language Shop is the independent quality assurance provider for the Ministry of Justice’s language services. We assess and assure the quality of the interpreters and translators who support courts, tribunals, prisons and probation services across England and Wales, helping to ensure fair and equal access to justice for everyone who needs language support.
We assure the quality of three main types of language service:
Assurance of spoken-language interpreting delivered in person and remotely, across a wide range of languages and dialects.
Assurance of British Sign Language and other visual and tactile communication services for people who are deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing.
Assurance of written translation and transcription services, ensuring accuracy, completeness and fidelity to the source.
